Let United Way of Anchorage connect you to the volunteer passions that help you make a difference in the areas of education, income, and health around Anchorage.  From community-wide events like Day of Caring or Project Homeless Connect to mentoring a youth, United Way's Community Engagement staff offers volunteer opportunities for everyone.  Learn more about volunteering and find opportunities at LIVEUNITEDANCHORAGE.ORG/Volunteer

Coalition Gatherings

The Anchorage Coalition on Homelessness welcomes the entire Anchorage community to attend Coalition meetings.  All meetings are open to the general public. The only requirement to become a member of the Coalition is to attend meetings and be ready to volunteer your time on community projects to reduce homelessness in Anchorage!

All meetings are held at Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority (3745 Community Park Loop) from 1:30 - 3 pm every other month. 

City Wide Case Managers Meeting

If you are a homeless case manager there is a city wide case management meeting held at the Frontier Building on regular basis. Contact Charlie Daniels at 729-4948 or Julie Riley at 277-2450 for more information.

Project Homeless Connect

Project Homeless Connect is a one-day, one-stop event to provide housing, services, and hospitality in a convenient one-stop model directly to people experiencing homelessness in Anchorage. It is a way to bring service providers, government agencies, and the general community together to address a problem that affects everyone. The goal is to move from simply managing homelessness towards really ending it. READ MORE

100,000 Homes Campaign

The 100,000 Homes Campaign is a grassroots effort to find and place the most vulnerable, long-term homeless inviduals into 100,000 households across the country by July 2013.  Anchorage is the 84th community to join this campaign.  Anchorage Registry week is from September 12th to Septmeber 16th.  Volunteers needed.  FIND OUT MORE.
